This Bike has MS

Paralympic gold medallist Carol Cooke AM led a team of neurologists and mechanics to create a bike that mirrors the unpredictable and debilitating symptoms of multiple sclerosis. The bike sways, its gears slip and riders experience pins and needles in their hands, all designed to mimic the effects of MS. The initiative raised public awareness about the disease, which affects over 23,000 Australians, giving people a better understanding of what it feels like to live with MS. It went on to compete in cycling events further proving just how terrible it really was and replicas were made with all funds raised being donated to the charity.
